Petra Đurman is an assistant professor at the Department of Administrative Science of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. She has worked at the Faculty of Law since 2014, when she was employed as n assistant. She graduated in 2012 at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb, and she was awarded a PhD in 2018 by the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled The influence of organisational variables on the process and results of participation in public administration with the summa cum laude, and she won the annual Mzia Mikeladze award from the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe for the best doctoral dissertation in Central and Eastern Europe in 2020. She was awarded the Eugen Pusić award for the best paper in the category of young researchers in 2020. During her undergraduate study, she received the Dean’s award as the best student in the academic year on three occasions, and she spent a semester of her graduate study within the ERASMUS programme at the Institute for Political Science of the University of Vienna.

She teaches a number of courses within the professional undergraduate study of public finances and public administration, the specialist study of public administration and the undergraduate study of social work at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, including Public policies in Croatia, Public policies in practice, Regulatory management, E-administration, Public relations in administration, Public administration science, Comparative public administration, Organisation of administration and social services and others. In the period from 2012 to 2015 she taught Administration science and Public administration at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb as an external collaborator.

She has authored or co-authored a number of scientific and professional papers and teaching materials. She participated in more than 20 conferences in the country and abroad. She participated in a number of scientific and professional international and domestic projects, among which are Horizon2020 project Twinning Open Data Operational as a member of the project team of the Faculty of Law, at the Erasmus+ project by the European University of Post-industrial Cities (UNIC) in charge of communication, Cogito Hubert Curien bilateral scientific-research project of the Croatian-French co-operation Good Local Governance: local public services in the context of the European subsidiarity principle, etc. She participated in several doctoral schools and programmes of scientific and didactic training in the country and abroad. She was a member of the organizing committees of several international conferences (EGPA annual conference, TODO international and national conference on open data etc.).

She is a member of the Institute of Administrative Sciences, within which she performs a series of organisational tasks, and of the Croatian Political Science Association. She is a member of the Editorial board of the Faculty of Law website.

She is enrolled in the Registry of Researchers of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia under the scientific identification number 344186.

Her areas of scientific interest include the relationship between the administration and citizens, citizen participation, public policies, regulatory management, e-administration and open data.
