The Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb was established in 1776 and while it remains proud of its tradition in high-quality education, it seeks to be a modern institution engaged in cutting-edge research. As a leader in legal education in Croatia, the faculty offers 20 study programmes in 3 different areas, namely:
• Law
• Social Work and Social Policy
• Public Administration and Public Finance

The faculty’s organisation includes:
• 29 chairs/departments
• 6 institutes
• 169 academics
• 68 administrative staff
• approximately 6,000 students.

The Faculty of Law is particularly proud of its strong moot courts, its Legal Clinic and its alumni community. Our alumni perform at the highest level of law and politics in Croatia. By way of illustration, 3 out of 5 Croatian presidents to date and 8 out of 12 Croatian prime ministers have graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

Fostering excellence through international cooperation is one of the faculty’s major objectives. We maintain strong international relations and enjoy fruitful cooperation with many institutions and individuals in the EU, the region and worldwide. Thanks to agreements with more than 130 institutions of higher education in Europe and beyond, we offer a warm welcome to all our international students.
