The Foundation of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, for Supporting Researchers was established by a decision of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb (the Founder) on 15 July 1997.
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial support to employees of the Founder under the age of 40 who hold academic teaching positions (assistant professors) or associate roles. This support is aimed at fostering their academic, professional, and teaching development, as well as funding scientific research and postgraduate studies undertaken by the Founder.
Membership of the Foundation as a supporting member is open to legal entities and natural persons approved by the Foundation’s Assembly. Membership is formalised through the signing of a membership agreement, by which members accept the rights and obligations specified in the Foundation’s establishment decision, statute, and other governing documents.
The governing bodies of the Foundation are the Assembly, the Management Board, and the Secretary. The Assembly, the Foundation’s highest decision-making body, is composed of a council established for this specific purpose, consisting exclusively of the full and associate professors of the Founder. The Management Board comprises five (5) members, with the Dean of the Founder serving ex officio as Chair of the Management Board. The Secretary of the Foundation is, ex officio, the Secretary of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.
The Dean of the Founder serves as the Foundation’s Director and acts as its legal representative.
