Description
The aim of the course is to understand the economic, political and social circumstances in which the EU was created and operates and which affect the functioning of European institutions and the foundations of European Union law and identify types of legal sources of European law and explain their effects. In addition, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of the basics of substantive European law, in particular internal market law and the relationship of fundamental market freedoms with human rights. During the lecture, students will learn how to recognize and apply the legal rules of EU law in solving legal problems and show an understanding of the division of powers between Member States and the EU and the distinction between the scope of national and EU law.
