Prof. Marko Šikić was born in Zagreb. After graduating from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, he worked as a trainee lawyer. After passing the bar exam, he was employed at the Faculty of Law at the Department of Administrative Law. He completed his post-graduate scientific study in administrative and political sciences at the same faculty, defending his master’s thesis titled “Administrative silence in Croatian law” in 2006. In 2008, he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Legal protection against non-resolution of administrative matters in Croatian and comparative law”. Since 2009 he has been the head of the Department of Administrative Law.
