We are pleased to invite you to a guest lecture by Dr. Małgorzata Andrzejczak-Świątek, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Police Academy in Szczytno, Poland. Dr. Andrzejczak-Świątek is currently conducting an Erasmus research stay at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb.

Her lecture, titled “Practical Aspects of Combating Hate Speech in EU Countries,” will provide insights into the mechanisms and challenges of addressing hate speech across the European Union. Drawing from her expertise and practical experience, Dr. Andrzejczak-Świątek will focus on the work of the European Commission’s High Level Group on Hate Crime, in which she actively participates.

With a strong background in human rights, hate crimes, humanitarian law, and anti-discrimination policy, Dr. Andrzejczak-Świątek also works as an independent expert for organizations such as the Council of Europe, the OSCE, and the European Commission.

This lecture will explore the role and cooperation of state authorities and uniformed services in tackling hate speech effectively, highlighting both best practices and ongoing challenges.
