The Faculty of Law is situated in four different locations in the very heart of Zagreb, one of which is a beautiful historic building shared with the University of Zagreb Rectorate. With a view of some of the most prominent institutions in Zagreb, including the Croatian National Theatre, the Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Music Academy and the Mimara Museum, the Faculty of Law is a modern, well-equipped higher education institution that perfectly fits into its lively, intellectually stimulating surroundings with a variety of content in its immediate vicinity. For these reasons the Faculty of Law is the right place for personal and professional growth and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Its original location upon establishment in 1776 was the building of the Royal Academy of Sciences in St. Catherine’s Square (Katarinin trg). In 1883, it was moved to the building it still occupies today. However, due to the increase in the number of students, the development of new teaching programmes as well as the consequent organizational growth, the faculty has expanded to several locations in the city centre, which, due to their proximity, represent a functional whole: 3 and 14, Republic of Croatia Square (Trg Republike Hrvatske 3, 14), 4, Ćirilometodska Street (Ćirilometodska 4), 10, Gundulićeva Street (Gundulićeva 10), 51, Nazorova Street (Nazorova 51) and 48-50 Tkalčićeva Street (Tkalčićeva 48-50). A part of the faculty library storage space is located in the Scientific and Teaching Campus Borongaj.
