The programme was implemented in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) and the Faculty of Law and Public Administration of the University of Łódź (Poland), within the framework of the UNIC initiative – the European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition.

The programme was attended by students from Spain, Poland and Croatia, as well as teaching staff from the partner universities. The lecturers included Prof. Goranka Lalić Novak and Assoc. Prof. Teo Giljević (Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb), David Fernández-Rojo, PhD, and Gustavo de la Orden Bosch, PhD (University of Deusto), and Karolina Mendecka, PhD (University of Łódź). Guest lecturers included Paula Enguidanos, PhD, and Zaida Rivera, PhD, from Seattle University School of Law (USA).

The UNIC HEI Award 2025 was conferred in recognition of the programme’s outstanding contribution to the promotion of diversity, inclusion and international cooperation in higher education, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and inter-university collaboration within the UNIC alliance, as well as the active involvement of students from several UNIC partner universities.
