In 2008, the Library of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb became the seat of the Information Centre for European Law, which operated as part of the EU i information network established by the European Commission. Following Croatia’s accession to the European Union, in February 2014 the Library of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb became the seat of the European Documentation Centre (EDC), which operates as part of the Europe Direct Information Network in the EU member states.
European Documentation Centres are established at the academic institutions or research institutes in the EU Member States at the request of the host institution to support education in the field of EU law and policies.
The mission of the European Documentation Centre Zagreb is to support the teaching and research of European law and the process of European unification, and to provide the academic community with easy and quick access to the resources related to European Union law and policies and to encourage and participate in the debate on the process of European integration.
The centre is open from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
