The main objective of this Course is to explore existing methods of studying crime on a global scale, and discuss various types of criminal and deviant behaviour that occur in isolated group contexts as well as those crimes that transcend country boundaries. It also will assess various strategies designed to address these acts of crime on a national as well as transnational level. The Course uses comparative methodology to highlight similarities and differences between and within legal traditions. It also will assess the different criminology researches and their outcomes and how these can inform criminal law reform in a national and global context. The Course will be taught as combination of lecturing and discussion of the course content in class, and it will be organized in interactive forum.
