Office for Students with Disabilities, University of Zagreb
At the University of Zagreb, where more than 65,000 students study, there are only about 330 registered students with disabilities, which amounts about 5 % of all students.
In order to ensure that all potential students with disabilities who wish to study at the University of Zagreb achieve this, it is necessary to provide conditions for successful study to all current and future students with disabilities. Therefore, the University of Zagreb has established the Office for Students with Disabilities as a reference centre where students can get information on the spot, as well as by phone, e-mail, leaflets and brochures. Through its activities, the Office also offers direct assistance to students in solving specific problems that may arise during their studies, and thus represents a mechanism for ensuring equal opportunities.
The Office is intended for students:
- with visual impairments
- with hearing impairments
- with physical disabilities
- with multiple impairments
- with chronic diseases
- with mental disorders
- learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysgraphia etc.)
- with other health conditions or difficulties that may affect the course of studies.
