Ksenija Turković is a full professor at the Department of Criminal Law. She was a Vice-Dean for Education from 2005 until 2007. She has worked at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb since 1987. She worked as a trainee at the Municipal Court in Zagreb (1987-1990). She is a member of the New York Bar. She was an associate in General Corporate Practice at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York (1998-2000) and as a legal counsel for Hunton & Williams, New York (1998-2000), within which she represented a client before the ICTY in 2002/3. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Yale Law School. She has co-authored five books in the area of criminal law and medical law. She has published numerous papers in domestic and international journals. She was a member of the committee for the preparation of the Law on the Protection of Persons with Mental Disabilities and the expert group of the Ministry of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity for the preparation of the national strategy of protection from domestic violence from 2004 until 2007. She was a Vice President of the expert group of the Council of Europe for the preparation of the Convention against exploitation and abuse of children and a member of an expert group of the Council of Europe for helping victims of criminal offences.
