Davor Babić is a full professor at the Department of Private International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

 

He has published a number of papers in the field of private international law, international arbitration law, international investment law and alternative dispute resolution law. He is active as an arbitrator at domestic and international arbitration institutions.

 

He was the head of the working group for Chapter 6 (European Company Law) in the negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. He has served as the Secretary of the Permanent Arbitration Court at the Croatian Chamber of Economy.

 

Since 2015 he has been a visiting professor of international arbitration law at the Central European University in Budapest. He was also a visiting professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2012, and a visiting professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2015.

 

He is a member of the International Law Association and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
