Ana Opačić was born in Sisak in 1986. In 2004, she enrolled in the study of social work at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. She graduated in 2008 and after that she was employed as an assistant at the same study programme in 2009. So far, she has been teaching in the courses Social Work in Community Organisation, International Social Work, Theoretical Foundations of Social Work, Interpersonal Communication, and as a guest lecturer and collaborator within field practice in the courses Social Work with a Group and Basics of Counselling. In 2012, she completed the postgraduate specialist study Psychosocial Approach in Social Work, and in 2015 she received her doctoral degree at the postgraduate doctoral study Social Work and Social Policy (Faculty of Law in Zagreb). She won several awards as a student and later as a young researcher. Since 2016 she has been employed as an assistant professor.
