From September 18 to 22, 2023, the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program titled “Supervision as a Tool Against Compassion Fatigue in Social Work” was held at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The program included participants from Slovenia (Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana), Finland (University of Jyväskylä), the Netherlands (Ede Christian University of Applied Sciences), and Croatia (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law, Social Work Study Centre). During five intensive and enriching days, various lectures and workshops were conducted on topics such as compassion fatigue and well-being in social work, intergenerational perspectives on compassion fatigue, psychodrama techniques applicable to compassion fatigue and supervision, competencies in social work and supervision, self-care, and different aspects of supervision in social work. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to visit a social care institution that provides accommodation for people with disabilities, where a roundtable discussion was held on supervision in the Slovenian social welfare system. Apart from the international exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives, the participants formed new professional networks with current and future professionals in the social welfare system and social workers. From the Social Work Study Centre at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, the following participants took part in the program: Petra Balija, Ivana Bandov, Antonija Farčić, Larisa Krsnik, Sara Supina, Katarina Tuftan, Kristina Urbanc, and Marko Buljevac.
