The Faculty of Law has a large number of student associations. Their scope of work reflects the diversity of interests of our students. We encourage our current and future students to join the work of any of the associations listed below.
Founded in 1981 in Vienna, the European Law Student Association is the world’s largest non-profit and non-political association of law students and young lawyers. It has branches in 44 European countries and gathers more than 70,000 members from over 300 faculties. ELSA operates on three different levels: local, national and international. The headquarters of ELSA International is located in Brussels and it enjoys consultant status within the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and the Council of Europe. ELSA strives for a just world in which human dignity and cultural diversity are respected, in order to contribute to legal education, the development of mutual understanding and the promotion of social responsibility of law students and young lawyers. ELSA enables law students and young lawyers to get to know other cultures and legal systems in the spirit of critical dialogue and scientific cooperation.
The student sports association conducts sports activities at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. Sports activities at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb are organized by the students themselves, with or without the auspices of the Zagreb Faculty of Law Student Sports Association, but with mandatory cooperation with the Faculty and the Zagreb University Sports Association.
The association is administratively divided into sections that are in charge of encouraging and conducting sports activities at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. At the moment, the Association consists of seven sports and ten sections that organize the following sports activities by gender:

The student-teacher association ZA PRAVO LGBTIQA+ PERSONS (ZA-Pravo) brings together teachers and students of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb who jointly create a safe, supportive and open environment for students of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
The association ZA-Pravo found its inspiration in student associations in the United States of America called the Gay-Straight Alliance.
Association ZA-Pravo offers a safe and stimulating environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, those who question their identity, as well as for those students who have LGBTIQA+ friends and family members or those who support the rights of LGBTIQA+ people.
Members of the association meet on the first Monday of the month, and the association organizes expert discussions, guest lectures and conferences.
