In copperation with the Croatian Social Work Institute, the Administrative Compass, and HOME, the Legal Clinic hosted on 12 Novembe r2024 an online workshop focused on the Inclusive Allowance for members of the “Budi dobro” association, which is dedicated to supporting cancer patients and preventing malignant diseases.
Attended by as many as 86 participants, the workshop started with a presentation of the Inclusive Allowance, prepared by Legal Clinic students. The workshop covered the legal framework for obtaining the allowance, eligibility criteria, and a step-by-step guide for submitting applications. With the mentoring support from the Croatian Social Work Institute, Legal Clinic and Administrative Compass students prepared answers to questions submitted prior to the workshop.
Particular attention was given to outlining the benefits of the Inclusive Allowance and addressing potential challenges in the application process. Participants received additional guidance and practical explanations regarding their rights and the procedures available to them, with an emphasis on assisting those encountering administrative obstacles.
This event highlighted the importance of information dissemination and support within the social welfare system, aiming to enhance inclusivity and facilitate easier access to resources for individuals with disabilities.
