The IV Career Days of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb were held this year from 6 to 10 February 2023 at Gundulićeva Street 10–12. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Ivan Koprić.
In the first part of the programme, consisting of panel discussions, lectures, and workshops held from 6 to 8 February, a total of 40 speakers participated from the fields of legal practice, judiciary, human rights, EU institutions, companies, public administration, and social work.
In the second part of the programme, Career Speed Dating – short individual job interviews with employers. held on 9 and 10 February, a total of twenty-four potential employers took part, representing law firms, companies, and the social work sector.
Ivana Karaman Jurić from the Alumni Community of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb participated in the organisation and implementation of the programme. Volunteers from the Meritokrat association, as well as other Faculty staff members, were also involved in organising and conducting the Career Speed Dating interviews.
A total of 158 students registered for the event, confirming a 24% increase in interest compared to the previous year, 2022.
This year’s concept of panel discussions, lectures, and workshops attracted forty participants. Faculty alumni, distinguished legal experts, and specialists in social work and social policy, representing a 100% increase in response compared to the previous year.
All of this confirms the recognition of the importance of the Career Days and the cooperation between the Faculty and potential employers for the benefit of students.
