Seven students from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, spent last week in Poland, participating in the Erasmus BIP program on the topic “Developing Cyber Resilience Skills.” The program was coordinated by Kazimierz Wielki University, with partners including the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, the University of Bucharest in Romania, and Matej Bel University in Slovakia.
Prof. Dr. Nina Gumzej from the Department of Information Technology Law actively participated in the virtual part of the course, and we thank her for her engagement.
“When we talk about the Erasmus+ BIP program (Blended Intensive Program), it’s important to emphasize that this is a combined program that includes both a virtual mobility component and a mandatory physical mobility component of at least 5 days, with at least three institutions from three different EU countries involved. While the application process can seem demanding, I see great potential in these shorter mobility programs for students, but also for academic staff from all programs at the Faculty of Law, as it is often easier and more effective to organize shorter programs where various interesting topics can be covered in an international environment in an intensive and quality manner. I am especially pleased with the positive messages and impressions sent by our seven students recently,” said Jelena Tadić Cegnar from the Office for International Cooperation.
In September, the Faculty will participate in another BIP program in Ljubljana, aimed at students and staff in social work, and there is also an ongoing application for another exciting BIP program within the UNIC network.
The University will soon announce a new BIP call for programs starting in January 2024. The Faculty can participate as a partner or coordinator, with special financial resources allocated for organizing the program. We encourage interested faculty members who have ideas or proposals for cooperation to contact the Faculty’s Office for International Cooperation and Ms. Jelena Tadić Cegnar for arrangements regarding potential applications and next steps.
