Eight students were awarded special honours for excellence achieved during their academic studies, receiving Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude distinctions.
Zagreb, 14 June – The Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb, one of the most popular and highly regarded faculties for many years, held a graduation ceremony for 196 students across various study programmes: Law, Public Administration, Tax Studies, University Specialist Postgraduate Law Studies, and University Specialist Postgraduate Studies in Social Work.
The ceremony took place at the University of Zagreb (at the premises of the Regional Centre for the Development of Entrepreneurial Competencies for South-East Europe – SEECEL), starting at 10 a.m., and was organised in three parts.
The graduates received their well-deserved diplomas in three separate groups. The first group included 61 graduates from the University Specialist Postgraduate Studies in Law and Social Work. The second group, commencing at 12:30 p.m., included 51 graduates from the Public Administration and Tax Studies programmes, while the third group, made up of 84 future lawyers, received their diplomas at 3:30 p.m.
On this important occasion, marking 250 years of the Faculty of Law’s tradition of educating generations of students, the Dean, Professor Ivan Koprić, addressed the graduates with words of gratitude and encouragement.
“Today, we proudly look upon our graduates – young people who have proven, through their effort, perseverance and knowledge, that they are ready to take on responsible roles within society. Through your work, you will become guardians of justice, defenders of human rights, and a source of support for those in need. May your hunger for knowledge and progress never cease; continue to grow and advance, even at the postgraduate level. In these challenging times, you stand as an example of how knowledge, solidarity and responsibility can help build a better and fairer society.”
Special honours for academic excellence were awarded to five students of the University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Law Programme, as well as three students of the Professional Graduate Public Administration Programme, who received Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude distinctions.
