Marko Buljevac was born in Zagreb in 1984. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Social Work Study Centre in 2009. From 2009 he has been an employee of the Study Centre in the following employment status: 2009-2014 junior researcher, 2015-2016 postdoctoral researcher, 2016-2021 assistant professor, as of 2021 associate professor. He is a course holder of the following courses at the Faculty of Law, Social Work Study Centre: Social work with persons with disabilities, Social work with persons with disabilities – seminar, Social work with persons with disabilities – practice, Chosen areas of social work – persons with disabilities, and Social work with persons with intellectual disabilities. He is also a course holder of the course Social and legal basis of education and rehabilitation of persons with visual impairments at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences. He has been involved in 13 scientific projects, and he was the head of two projects for Croatian ombudsperson for persons with disabilities. He presented 40 papers at international and Croatian scientific conferences. He was a member of Council of Ombudsperson for persons with disabilities and a member of management committee of the Croatian chamber of social workers. He is s member of Committee of the Government of Republic of Croatia for persons with disabilities. He has published 24 scientific papers, 3 research monographs, 1 university book and 3 professional papers. His primary research interest is in social work with persons with disabilities.
