From 2004 to 2009 Asst. Prof. Antun Bilić studied law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. He received the Rector’s award for a written paper, the award summa cum laude and he held the concluding speech as a valedictorian.

From 2 November 2010 he was employed as a junior research assistant at the Department for Commercial and Company Law, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

From 2011 to 2016 he undertook a PhD study at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. In the course of those studies, he spent a semester in 2015/2016 at the Research Institute for Central and Eastern European Business Law at the Vienna University of Economics (FOWI WU). On 15 June 2016 he defended his PhD thesis on “Contractual Joint and Several Liability”.

On 1 December 2016, he became a postdoctoral fellow, and on 7 July 2016 an assistant professor.

He holds several courses at the graduate, master and PhD studies, especially commercial law and company law courses. He is a long-standing coach of Zagreb Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. He has written many scholarly articles and book chapters and he has participated in several conferences. His special areas of interest are multi-party obligations and groups of companies. He has participated in the drafting process of several legislative proposals. He is an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations.
