The Central and Eastern European Moot Competition is one of the most prestigious student competitions in the field of European Union law, simulating proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union. The competition is judged by judges and Advocates General of the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as distinguished professors of European law. It is organised by the British Law Centre, with which the Faculty cooperates through the Diploma in English Law and Legal Skills (DELLS) programme. This year’s competition brought together 14 teams from Central and Eastern Europe.

In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the students were awarded a study visit to Cambridge and London, where they will visit the UK Supreme Court and the Inner Temple, as well as a place on the one-year English Law & Legal Skills (DELLS) course organised by the British Law Centre. In addition, Anja Polovina, as the competition’s best speaker, was awarded an internship at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
