The rEUsilience project, part of the Horizon Europe programme, is being implemented by an alliance consisting of the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, University of Warsaw, Poland, the Confederation of Family Organisations in the European Union (COFACE) network based in Brussels, Belgium, Stockholm University, Sweden and the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb.
At the Faculty of Law, Study Centre for Social Work, the project is led by Prof. Ivana Dobrotić.
The inclusion of the project in the category of distinguished projects by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation confirms its scientific and social contribution, especially in the development of social policies recognising the diversity of families and providing them with the necessary resources and support.
In the first phase, the project analysed the challenges faced by families in Europe and their coping strategies. Based on these insights, the Policy Lab was launched, bringing together families, civil society organisations, social partners and decision-makers to develop more effective social policies adapted to contemporary risks, including challenges in the labour market and the lack of care services.
So far, the project has published 25 research outputs, including findings from focus groups with over 300 families across Europe, detailed comparative analyses of family-focused social policies and work on developing research instruments to improve the comparative data infrastructure needed to better understand the realities of family life. All the outputs published to date can be found on the project website: https://reusilience.eu/
