Education and Work Experience:
Hano Ernst is a professor of civil law at the Department of Civil Law at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law. He holds an LL.B. and Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb, and an LL.M. form Harvard Law School. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Visiting Scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, Germany. Prior to joining the Faculty he trained in the Croatian judiciary and passed the bar exam. He participated as a researcher in numerous international projects in comparative law, and regularly serves on legislative reform committees concerning property law. He participates in domestic and international arbitration serving as arbitrator and expert witness.
