Petra Kožljan was born in 1990 in Pula, Croatia.

She graduated in psychology from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 2014. Currently, she is a doctoral student in social work and social policy at the Social Work Study Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

She is employed as a doctoral assistant within the scientific research project “Inter-generational Transmission of Risk for Adolescent Mental Health” (IP-2020-02-5967), funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, under the leadership of the full professor with tenure Marina Ajduković at the Social Work Study Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.

Previously, Petra Kožljan collaborated as a member of the research team in the implementation of the project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, “Economic Difficulties of Families, Psychosocial Problems and Educational Outcomes of Adolescents in Times of Economic Crisis” (IP-2014-09-8546).

She participates in education for cognitive-behavioural therapy and is one of the counsellors at the Centre for Children, Youth and Family “Modus”, as well as a member of the Team for Psychological Crisis Interventions.

Her area of scientific and professional interest is primarily the mental health of adolescents and their parents. She has published three scientific papers and actively participated in several domestic and international professional and scientific conferences.

She is a member of the Croatian Psychological Chamber and the Society for Psychological Assistance.
