At the invitation of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb participated for the first time in the largest education and career fair in Ljubljana called “Informativa”. Selected Croatian universities were offered the opportunity to jointly present their study programmes as part of the “Study in Croatia”initiative.

Professor Mirela Krešić, vice-dean for teaching, mobility, students and study programmes, and Jelena Tadić Cegnar, from the International Mobility Office, participated in the fair on behalf of the faculty. Interested Slovenian pupils and students were informed about opportunities to study law, social work and social policy, public administration and public finance in the Croatian language. In addition, the faculty’s doctoral studies as well as opportunities of coming to the Faculty of Law within Erasmus+ were promoted.

The joint Erasmus+ graduate study RePiC (“Redesigning the Post-Industrial City”, more at: https://www.unic.eu/en/repic#all) created within the UNIC project and including the participation of both the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb, attracted considerable attention, in particular among architecture students.

The representatives of the Faculty of Law met with a colleague from the International Cooperation Office of the Faculty of Social Work from Ljubljana, confirming the excellent cooperation between the two faculties, that, this academic year alone, successfully applied for two BIP Erasmus programmes (Blended intensive programs, more at: https://www.pravo.unizg.hr/novosti/sudjelovanje-studenata-i-profesora-studijskog-centra-socijalno-rada-pravnog-fakulteta-sveucilista-u-zagrebu-u-erasmus-bip-programu/) in the field of social work. On that occasion, the third joint BIP application was specifically discussed.

The faculty strives to strengthen its international presence and attractiveness for foreigners, especially for students from neighboring countries. It aims at spreading the information that studying in Croatia is free for EU citizens, and that Zagreb is a particularly interesting and safe student city with a large number of international students and excellent study programmes.

Participating in the “Informativa” education fair represents the continuation of the intensive activity of promoting the Faculty of Law at both domestic and international education fairs.
