At the international scientific and professional conference “Roma (Customary) Law: Roma Legal Traditions and Cultures”, held on 24 March 2025 in the Croatian Parliament, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Kosnica and Prof. Marina Milić in co-authorship with a doctoral student of social work and social policy presented their papers on the topics “Roma Affiliation (Citizenship and Homeland) and Their Rights in Croatia in the Context of the Second Half of the 19th and Early 20th Century”, and “Human Trafficking – A View from the Perspective of the Roma Population – Risks and Support System”, respectively.

In the introductory part of the conference, the dean of the Faculty of Law addressed the participants, emphasizing the need to improve the legal and actual social position of the Roma community in Croatia and supporting the Zagreb Resolution prepared on the occasion of this conference.

With its participation, the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb contributed to the development of cooperation with the Roma community through strengthening scientific and professional work and research aimed at improving the position of Roma in the Republic of Croatia.
