From 9 to 13 June 2025, the second edition of the Summer School on Migration and International Protection in the Global Context was held, organised by Assoc. Prof. Goranka Lalić Novak and Assoc. Prof. Teo Giljević. The Summer School was conducted in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto (Spain) and the Faculty of Law and Public Administration of the University of Łódź (Poland), within the framework of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).

This year’s programme brought together students of law and public administration from several European countries. Through lectures, workshops, and discussions, participants explored the legal, political, and social aspects of migration and international protection. Topics included the management of migration flows, border protection, international law, and the integration of migrants. Through these activities, students became acquainted with the legal, political, and societal dimensions of migration and developed a critical understanding of the responses of states and the international community to these challenges. Participant feedback was exceptionally positive, and the atmosphere of the School further strengthened international cooperation and the exchange of experiences among students and lecturers.

In a world where migration is increasingly present, understanding these processes represents not only an academic challenge but also a significant contribution to the development of fairer and more effective migration and asylum policies.
