On September 28, 2024, the traditional Welcome Day for international students was held at the Faculty of Law as part of the international exchange program. The number of international students choosing our faculty for their mobility continues to grow, and this year, a record number of 81 students from 18 different countries enrolled: Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Chile, Italy, Ukraine, France, Germany, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Austria, Portugal, the Czech Republic, China, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, and Switzerland.

The program was opened by Prof. Dr. Iris Goldner Lang, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Quality Management, who welcomed the students and highlighted the invaluable experience they would gain through this student exchange. She encouraged them to make the best use of this opportunity for their academic and personal development. From our faculty’s perspective, the presence of international students enriches our academic community and contributes to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. Martina Batistić presented the Faculty, its history, study programs, and participation in the Erasmus+ program, while Tihana Tolić informed the students about the upcoming administrative and academic obligations they would encounter during their time on international exchange.

As part of the welcome tradition, students received appropriate gifts from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, and this year, the Zagreb Tourist Board joined the gifting with special Zagreb souvenirs. The informal part of the program continued with a pleasant and cheerful gathering.
