Description
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the basics of education in public administration, civil service, administrative ethics, good administration, government accountability and judicial review.

Cognitive Skills:
  • to define and explain the basic elements of education in public administration
  • to define and explain the basic elements of civil service
  • to define administrative ethics and explain its values and principles
  • to give examples of fundamental rights of the European Union citizens;
  • to name basic public service principles
  • to explain models and mechanisms of accountability
  • to explain judicial review of public administration and legislation.
Practical and Generic Skills:
  • present the acquired learning outcomes in English;
  • use appropriate language structures and terms in discussing the relevant topics;
  • develop communication skills in English;
  • participate in team work in the preparation of presentations in English.
