Within the course students gain knowledge about the situation and priorities in the development of welfare state in Croatia. Thus they improve their capability to understand, analyse and recognise problems related to social development and trends of welfare state development in Croatia, as well as the significance of the development of welfare state for social, political and economic development of the country. Through the course the students acquire skills of debating about social issues and necessary social programmes, but also skills needed to prepare social policy programmes. Course description ? Cognitive Skills:
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to: - recognise and explain the status, priorities and challenges of social policy in Croatia - understand, analyse and recognise problems related to social development and social policy trends in Croatia - recognise and explain the significance of the development of social policy for social, political and economic development of the country - assess the impact of social policy measures on social and economic development of the country - determine priorities of social policy within developmental problems of welfare state in Croatia Practical and Generic Skills:After successfully completing the course, students will be able to: - efficiently participate in team work - independently present professional topics to a wider audience - professionally discuss social problems and needed social interventions Matching Assessments to Learning Outcomes:Evaluation forms 1.1.
