Cognitive Skills:

After successfully completing the course obligations, students will be able to:

  1. describe and recognise characteristics of welfare regimes in European countries
  2. reexamine the influence of different sociasl processes on wellfare state reforms
  3. explain the theoretical concept of Europeanization and the development, significance, characteristics and mechanisms of European social model
  4. compare characteristics and effects of welfare regimes in European countries and European social model in different areas of social policy
  5. distinguish between different welfare regimes and forms and mechanisms of Europeanization
  6. apply the Europeanization concept to the analysis of the welfare state reform
  7. assess the influence of European social model and Europeanization to national social policies
  8. analyse and interpret reforms in various areas of social policy

 

Practical and Generic Skills:

After successfully completing the course obligations, students will gain:

  1. ability of independent work
  2. ability to apply knowledge in practice
  3. ability of critical thinking and participation in discussion
  4. understanding foreign cultures and countries

Model B: relates to students who attend lectures only and pass mid-term examination.

*There is a possibility of written examination (65 points) in regular examination periods for students who do not take mid-term examinations.

** There is orall exam where students can improve their grades gained on written exam.
