Founded in 2011, the European Law Institute (ELI<\/a>) is an independent non-profit organisation which seeks to facilitate research, make recommendations, and provide practical guidance in the field of European legal development.<\/p>\n

Following the ELI General Assembly held in Zagreb from 24 to 26 September 2014 and hosted by the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb, under the leadership of Professor Tatjana Josipovi\u0107, the Croatian Hub of the European Legal Institute (ELI Croatian Hub) was launched as the seventh regional hub of ELI.<\/p>\n

In May 2020 the new chairs of the ELI Croatian Hub were elected, i.e. lawyer Zoran Ha\u010di\u0107, Managing Partner at Ha\u010di\u0107 & Bo\u0161njak Law Firm, Zagreb, Associate Professor Emilia Mi\u0161\u0107eni\u0107 from the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka, Hrvoje Paukovi\u0107, LLM, Managing Director of the Croatian Insurance Bureau, and Assistant Professor Ivan Tot from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. The Advisory Board of ELI Croatian Hub was established, and its members are Professor Tatjana Josipovi\u0107, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law and member of the ELI Council, Professor with tenure Edita \u010culinovi\u0107 Herc, Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, Professor with tenure Hana Horak, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, and Professor with tenure Zvonimir Slakoper, Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb.<\/p>\n

In the course of 2021, the ELI Croatian Hub organized a series of webinars where the activities of the ELI were presented and current events in Croatian and comparative law and EU law were discussed.<\/p>\n

The Hub was awarded the Hub of the Year 2021 Award, as well as the Hub of the Year 2022 Award.<\/p>\n
