The students of the Faculty of Law have always been very successful in moot courts as well as in extracurricular activities. Here are some of the most recent success stories:
- 2012 - Faculty of Law team (Lana Vdović, Carmen Grlica and Lana Knežević with their trainer Melita Carević) won the 2nd place in the regional finals of European Law Moot Court Competition, which took place in Braga, Portugal in February 2012. With this result, our team was placed among the top 8 teams in this prestigious international competition which involved 80 teams from universities in Europe and America this year.
- 2012 - The Association of University teachers and other scientists awarded three of our collegues out of ten candidates total: Jasmina Džinić, Iva Savić Ana Tokic Milaković - great success not only for themselves and their mentors but the Faculty as a whole.
- 2011 - Our Law School students have achieved great success in table tennis at this year's University of Zagreb competition. In team competition, which took place from 13.11.2011.to 18.12.2011. men's team (Branko Orišković, Tonci Gregov, Bruno Milinkovic, Nenad Bogovic) won first place. At the same competition in the women's competition, the team of the Faculty of Law (Tajana Novosel, Bruno Tonini, Lorena Micika, Monika Maretic) also took first place. The competition of individuals and couples was also extremely successful. Thus the Faculty of Law concluded the University of Zagreb competitions in table tennis 2011./2012. by winning two most valuable trophies in team competition and eleven medals from the competition of individuals and couples.
- 2011- Capella iuris, the choir of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, won the overall second place in the competition Cro Patria which took place in Split from 25-27 November 2011. The choir was also awarded 'Bronze cathedral' for the premiere of the song 'Under the cross' by a young composer Tomislav Šošić. Cro Patria is a renowned event with a long tradition in which Capella iuris successfully demonstrated the quality of their work.

- 2011 - Students of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb participated in the competition Willem C. Vis Moot in International Commercial Arbitration, which took place in Vienna from April 16-21.2011, and was attended by 265 teams from 65 countries. Our Faculty qualified for the final part of the competition among 64 best teams and was dropped from this year's winner team - the University of Ottawa. The Faculty of Law was represented by Jan Borić, Nikola Herceg, Andrijana Kaštelan, Dora Lukenda and Friederike Ziemer.
- 2011 - Our students members of the club 'Vladimir Bayer' won the third place at the 5th regional students' competition in Human Rights, which took place in Ohrid, Macedonia, in April 2011.

- 2011 - Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition - Zagreb won first place, as well as the BEST SPEAKER AWARD and a SPEAKER AWARD in Vilnius, Lithuania

- 2011 - European Law Moot Court Competition - Zagreb is the first in history to win two categories in the finals before the European Court of Justice, Luxembourg - BEST TEAM and BEST ADVOCATE GENERAL!
This success was recognised by the President of the European Commission José Barroso, who congratulated our team during his speech at the Croatian Parliament! See video.

- 2010 – European Law Moot Court Competition – Zagreb becomes vice champion in the finals before the European Court of Justice, Luxemburg

- 2010 – Regional Moot Court Competition in Human Rights – the Zagreb team won 1st prizes for both written pleadings, and 3rd prize in the overall ranking. Rijeka.
- 2010 – “Praga canta” Festival - The law students’ Capella Juris Choir won the silver medal in the category of large mixed choirs and a special prize from the jury for best performance of a contemporary composition (I Kuljerić: Crn-bel). Prague.

- 2010 – The European Law Students' Association (ELSA) Zagreb won 1st prize in "Our Rights, Our Freedoms" photo contest, organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with ELSA International.
Our students used colour photography to describe positive rights and freedoms, while negative ones are depicted in black and white. Up: Acquiring new knowledge, down: Owning without the interference of others.

- 2009 – Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition – Best Speaker Award and Speaker Award go to the Zagreb team members. Kiev.
